Sasol South Africa has awarded Fluor Corporation the front-end loading (FEL) engineering contract for the Secunda clean fuels baseline improvement basket of projects.

“We are pleased to assist Sasol with the start of this important programme. Our team will use its global expertise in clean fuel refineries and in-depth knowledge of Sasol’s requirements and the Secunda refinery site to develop this initial phase,” Fluor sub-Saharan Africa region manager Tolani Azeez said in a statement.

Fluor’s engineering team will complete the work by July 2019.
