Industry body Grain South Africa (Grain SA) has appointed Dr Tobias Doyer as its new CEO, effective January 8.

Doyer brings a wealth of expertise and capability to the Grain SA group of entities, with a proven record of driving growth, strategy and innovation in the agricultural, insurance and academic sectors.

He played a particularly significant role in reshaping the Agricultural Business Chamber into an independent business representative organisation and proactive contributor to national agricultural and economical discussions, says Grain SA chairperson Derek Mathews.

Doyer previously served as University of Africa MD, in Zambia, and on the executive team of Sanlam Pan Africa.

As Grain SA looks to continue tackling the challenges of the ever-evolving agricultural landscape and capitalising on sustainable emerging opportunities, Doyer says it is imperative for organisations to inspire and make things happen.
