JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – A February tender of rough diamonds produced by Aim-listed Namakwa Diamonds’ South African subsidiaries earned the company about $970 000 in revenue.

The company sold 1 962 ct at an average price of $496/ct, with the average stone size being 0.5 ct.

“The tender achieved satisfactory results with certain articles selling at above expected premiums. We are pleased with the overall results achieved. Our North West product continues to receive a lot of interest from local and international buyers,” CEO Theo Botoulas commented.
