Chinese companies will make up a significant amount of all exhibitors taking part in this year’s Tools, Hardware and Building Supplies expo (THABS), a component show of the phenomenally successful Southern African International Trade Exhibition (SAITEX). The show takes place from 30 June to 2 July 2013. Around 110 Chinese exhibitors have already booked out 145 stands in two of the five halls available at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg. “Many mid- and high-level Chinese manufacturers are adopting stringent European quality and safety standards for their factories and products, in order to qualify to export to sophisticated markets in Europe, North America, Australasia and southern Africa,” says John Thomson, Managing Director of Exhibition Management Services, organisers of THABS and SAITEX.
“Show visitors can discover thousands of top quality products, accessories and consumables in the tools, hardware and building category at THABS, from generators and hand tools to power tools, water pumps, building cement and much, much more.”

Chinese Business Chamber Leverages SAITEX Attendance
“I’m delighted at the response to the THABS exhibition at SAITEX by our members,” says Kent Han, Project Manager at China Technology Investment & Trade, a Hong Kong based Chinese business chamber.
“China is EMS’s partner country for SAITEX 2013 after India last year, and this year the stands have sold out faster than any other,” says Han. “I have been organising Chinese companies to exhibit in South Africa for three years, and this is the biggest group we have ever sent to SAITEX in South Africa.”
