Brett Dawson hands over the reigns of Dimension Data

After 12 dynamic years at the helm of Dimension Data, Brett Dawson has decided to hand over the leadership responsibility as Group CEO to longstanding COO Jason Goodall.

During Brett’s tenure he successfully evolved the company into a market leading and fully integrated global IT services giant, servicing 72% of the Fortune 100, and over 60% of the Fortune 500 companies. Dimension Data quadrupled in size, from a $2 billion competitor to an $8 billion contender, expanded its footprint from 30 Countries to 58, and grew its local and international employee compliment from 8000 to more than 30 000 passionate and dedicated staff. Over 80% of Group Revenue now emanates from outside of Africa with the strongest markets in USA, Europe and Asia.

During his time, Dimension Data became the darling of the IT market and a significant player in the emerging and all important global Cloud market, through strategic acquisitions, embracing new technology and integration of networking solutions.

Dawson concludes, “After over a decade of high intensity investment, and rewarding personal growth, I have attained my goals and decided that now is the right time to place the leadership of Dimension Data into new, yet familiar hands, with the promise of delivering continued and sustainable growth in this dynamic market sector.”
