Blue Label appoints COO for South African operations
JSE-listed Blue Label has appointed Wayne McCauley as COO of its South African operations.
He will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing corporate and business strategies and will report to joint CEOs Mark and Brett Levy.
“We welcome Wayne to our rapidly expanding South African business operations. His solid record, based on results and performance achievements across Africa and the US, will add new insights and energy to our numerous product and service brands,” the joint CEOs said in a statement on Wednesday.
McCauley joins the group after nearly 30 years at SABMiller, most recently in a dual role as sales and distribution director for Africa and operations director for several Southern African countries.
He holds a BCom and MBL from the University of South Africa and recently completed a Leading the Business programme at Oxford University, in the UK.
