Schneider Electric has appointed Ben Selier as Anglophone Africa Secure Power VP.

In this strategic role, he will lead the Secure Power business across 24 countries within Schneider Electric’s Anglophone Africa cluster, playing a pivotal role in managing and expanding the data centre marketplace across the continent.

The company highlights his extensive experience, with Selier having held senior roles at go2Invest and Wesco Anixter.

His industry knowledge includes the management of high-performance data centres in Germany and Oman, which is said to be a testament to his knowledge of design, ownership and product placement within data centre operations.

“My main focus will be on prioritising the customer and channel experience within the Secure Power business. Schneider Electric aims to digitise and electrify our customers’ operations with a strong emphasis on sustainability. We are committed to facilitating this transformation on behalf of our customers across the entire region,” Selier says.

He also emphasises Schneider Electric’s continued focus on bringing its vendor agnostic software architecture EcoStruxure into the fold.

“Our aim is to deliver software that will optimise the implementation and management of power solutions, enabling business to gain the most from their investment in energy resources.”
