BE Lite Technologies manufactures and distributes light-emitting diode (LED) lights and employs a dynamic engineer who is able to develop custom-designed lights. The company currently provides a number of products for the mining industry, but aims to become more involved in other industries.

The company, which was established in 2009 but officially started trading in 2011, has about 65 products in its inventory, ranging from low-voltage mini LEDs to ceiling lights, floodlights, streetlights and warning lights. The company does not, however, perform installations.

Located at 6 Charlie lane, Hughes, Jet Park, Boksburg, BE Lite Technologies has all the necessary equipment available to satisfy its customers’ needs. BE Lite Technologies’ main shareholder is Battery Electric, which is part of services provider to the mining industry Mining, Oil & Gas Services and Royal Bafokeng Group.

BE Lite Technologies manufactures its lights in-house, including each product’s printed circuit (PC) board. The production process starts with the assembling of the PC and LED boards, and, when it comes to new developments, the company’s engineer will design the light and provide a sample.

When the PC board has been completed, it goes to the factory floor, where the heat sinks, among other parts, will be cut. The PC LED boards are then soldered into the light casing. Once the light has been completed, it is sent to the testing station, where it burns for four to eight hours, depending on the type of light. When the engineer is satisfied with the light, it will be serialised, boxed and invoiced out to the customer for collection.
