The project is located 220 km off the shore south of Yangon, in Myanmar.
Client
Total is the operator of the project with a 31.2% interest. Its partners are Chevron-Unocal (28.3%), PTT Exploration Production (25.5%) and the national company Myanma Oil & Gas Enterprise (15%).
Project Description
The project will allow for an extension of the Yadana gasfield’s eight-billion-cubic-metres-a-year production plateau beyond 2020.
It involves the installation of a new wellhead platform connected to the Yadana production facilities, and the drilling of four horizontal wells to develop Badamyar gasfield as a satellite of Yadana.
The project also includes a new compression platform.
