Aurecon appoints MD for Infrastructure, subject matter expertise to contribute to global portfolio
Global engineering and infrastructure advisory firm Aurecon has appointed Ben Stapleton as MD of Infrastructure.
“The appointment reflects Aurecon’s commitment to providing user-focused, innovative solutions to government and private sector clients as they tackle current and future infrastructure challenges, such as unprecedented urbanisation, changing community expectations and the significant impact of emerging technologies,” the company noted in a statement on Monday.
Stapleton has significant experience as a leader and adviser in the infrastructure industry across many geographies and roles. Aurecon believes his expertise on major, multifaceted infrastructure projects will help Aurecon position itself to assist clients to navigate mounting complexities, including changing funding mechanisms and delivery models as needs for nation-building infrastructure increase.
Aurecon’s Global CEO Giam Swiegers said experts such as Stapleton bring strong leadership and advisory capabilities to major growth markets for Aurecon.
Swiegers added that Stapleton will “play an important role in contributing subject matter expertise to clients working in a complex global environment and who need asset optimisation, support with digitalisation and smart infrastructure solutions”.
Stapleton, meanwhile, said Aurecon’s energetic approach to leveraging disruptive technology and best practice innovation to help clients make better decisions about all lifecycle stages of their infrastructure assets were some of the factors that attracted him to the role at Aurecon.
