Name of the Project
Abandonment and capacity restoration project (ACRP).

Location
The project involves the abandonment, construction, modification and operation of natural gas pipeline facilities in the US states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio.

Client
Tennessee Gas Company (TGP).

Project Description
The project aims to disconnect and abandon pipeline segments from the interstate natural gas service, and construct and operate new natural gas infrastructure as a replacement to maintain service to existing customers.

This will entail:
• the abandonment in place and then the transfer by sale of about 1 551 km of pipeline between Columbiana county, Ohio, and Natchitoches parish, Louisiana;
• disconnects of the abandoned pipeline and directly associated equipment at 14 existing compressor stations,
abandonment in place of 82 existing main-line valves and 125 sites where taps or crossover/connector lines will be disconnected, abandoned, relocated, or removed;
• the construction of 12 short segments of new pipeline to reconnect customer taps to TGP’s other existing pipelines (off-right-of-way tap reconnects) totalling 8 km of new pipeline (between 2″ and 16″ in diameter) in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi;
• the construction of four new compressor stations in Jackson, Morgan, Tuscarawas, and Mahoning counties, in Ohio;
• the modification of existing Compressor Station 110 in Rowan County, Kentucky, and additional modification of Compressor Station 875 in Madison County, Kentucky;
• the construction of 12 km of new 36-inch-diameter pipeline in Carter and Lewis counties, in Kentucky; and
• the construction of about 1.6 km of 30-inch-diameter pipeline replacement in Washington County, Mississippi, and 2.4 km of 30-inch-diameter pipeline replacements in six sections in Madison County, Kentucky.
