“Our Relationship with Zendai and the world class products that we install was key in the decision for Zendai to partner with us”
Hendrik Roux Managing Director, Electro-Flex (Pty) Ltd t/a Solar Power
Electro-Flex (Pty) Ltd t/a Solar Power, a medium sized commercial PV installer and reseller based in Johannesburg was commissioned to install the commercial rooftop PV system for Zendai, a property developer in Modderfontein. Electro-Flex (Pty) Ltd t/a Solar Power has a decade long track record for engineering solar power systems that incorporate the world’s best renewable projects.
Property development demands a large amount of electricity which is costly and harmful to the environment. The main objective for the installation was to ensure optimal ROI whilst maximizing savings by taking advantage of renewable resources. With an annual energy output of 88 MWh and a daily yield of 250 kWh, the installation is expected to offset the majority of the energy costs for decades to come.
The project consists of 158 units of BYD solar modules which are designed to withstand the unpredictable and harsh South African climate. LiFe batteries we added to provide stability in supply for the offices at the Modderfontein complex. The extended warranty of the modules, highlights the reliability that BYD Solar products are known for. Another advantage of the BYD solar modules is that they are engineered to perform under low light conditions such as cloudy days, early mornings and late afternoons.
As solar is a large investment, the completion of large scale projects such as the Zendai installation relies heavily on financially stable and bankable partners. The success of the project adds to Electro-Flex t/a Solar Power impressive portfolio and further solidifies their footprint in Southern Africa. Electro-Flex’s commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability is echoed in their world class technologies.
