Location
The project will be located in the Port of Yuzhni, in the Ajalyk estuary, on Ukraine’s Black Sea coast, about 30 km from Odessa.

MV Cargo.
Cargill signed a binding share purchase agreement with MV Cargo formalising their commitment with regard to the construction of the terminal in February.
Project Description
The project entails the development of a five-million-tonne-a-year, greenfield grain terminal and a berth that can handle vessels of up to 100 000 deadweight tonnes.
The first phase of the terminal development involves the construction of:
• rail intake facilities, with a capacity of four-million tonnes of grain a year;
• truck intake facilities;
• one unloading point suitable for (back) unloading trucks/tipping cars;
• a truck buffer area;
• grain-storage facilities – 14 silos and one flat storage with a 210 000 t capacity, and one flat storage with a 36 000 t capacity for multigrain storage or an 80 000 t capacity for single-grain storage;
• a grain cleaning and drying unit with a capacity of 150 t/h;
• a transport network of elevators and conveyors;
• a shiploader for loading of bulk grain on ships with a capacity of 2 000 t/h; and
• off site utilities.
The second phase of the terminal development includes facilities for liquid bulk, additional flat storage and a second shiploader that will increase capacity of the facility to up to eight-million tonnes of grain a year.
