Yokogawa Middle East & Africa is proud to announce the official opening of brand new offices of Yokogawa South Africa that oversees Yokogawa’s Southern African business in Cresta, Randburg, boasting 4,000m² of space over 3 floors. The new office space is a major step forward in the growth and expansion of Yokogawa on the African Continent.  The event coincided with a visit from President and CEO of Yokogawa Middle East and Africa, Hideki Matsubayashi and members of the Senior Management team.

The new offices in Cresta Junction Office Park include significant additional space compared to previous premises of Constantia Kloof including 120m² of PCI FAT Area as well as 800m² of Systems Assembly / FAT area. The space available for training customers has also seen a significant improvement featuring two training rooms with the latest simulation equipment and Yokogawa’s celebrated mobile training facilities and plant in a box simulator. This state of the art equipment will facilitate the presentation of Systems and Field Instrumentation Courses.

“Yokogawa is committed to working with customers as partners to help them get maximum value from their respective businesses. The last few years have been representative of a significant growth period for the Sub Saharan business which necessitated the need to relocate to larger premises. Our new office is a major step forward in our plans to grow our footprint in Southern Africa and specifically in target industries including the oil and gas, refining, mining and power sectors,” comments Johan Louw, managing director.

A fully integrated and interactive demonstration area displays Pressure, Flow and Wireless Field Instrumentation, Analyzer Field Instrumentation, Recorders and Controllers and a “plant in a box” simulator. All instruments connect to Yokogawa’s CENTUM VP R6 integrated production control system to simulate real process values. “This facility provides a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate to our customers the capabilities of our products, systems and process solutions. This is the ideal environment for customers to observe Yokogawa’s technology in action and provides a platform to evaluate our process solutions,” explains sales and marketing director, Vinesh Maharaj. “This further demonstrates our commitment to our corporate brand slogan of ‘Co-innovating tomorrow’.”

In addition, the new office space provides enhanced service capabilities for customers in the region in order to meet the demand of Yokogawa’s expanding installed base. Yokogawa South Africa’s technical services department functions as the first line response covering the SADC region. The term “Co-innovating” conveys Yokogawa’s determination to engage in the co-creation of value through the development of solutions in long-term partnerships with clients, while “tomorrow” expresses the company’s resolve to move steadily into the future. Yokogawa celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2015 and is continuing to create new value with its clients for a brighter future. The company is now accelerating its efforts to bring about a transformation that will allow the company to sustain growth for another 100 years.
