Women empowered company,  Pinpoint Stewards, will once again host the "It's DUE " Women & Leadership Conference, which aims to Develop, Unite and Empower women and promote discussions around gender mainstreaming at all levels within Engineering, Infrastructure and Innovation on 22 & 23 February 2023 in Cape Town.

Sudhira Sewsunker, Co-Owner of Pinpoint Stewards noted:  “The gender gap in science-related fields are significant, although many believe it has improved.  The facts remain that in South Africa, only 13% of women graduate in STEM fields and 35% globally according to the UNESCO report.  She added: “unless we urgently ensure young women are exposed to the possibilities within these fields, the stats will not change and if they do change, it will take another 130 years to reach gender equality according to the UN Women, which is staggering.”

To ensure equal reporting of women who are leading in these sectors, Pinpoint Stewards will be profiling current and future leaders, with the help of media partner Engineering News, in the weeks leading up to the conference.

Women in leadership from the following organisation will be speaking: Dept of Public Works and Infrastructure, Dept of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (North West), Square Kilometre Array Organisation, Transnet Freight Rail, MPAMOT, PM Aviation, DBSA, Grinaker-LTA, Armscor Dockyard, Afrobodies (Pty) Ltd, Exxaro Resources and Krypton Mining.

The beneficiary selected by the organisers is Exit Survivor Foundation – A percentage of proceeds will be donated to them in their fight against Domestic Abuse, Human Trafficking, Sex Slavery and Poverty.  Potential funders are invited to look them up and assist them further at www.survivorexit.org

For special group discounts register before 30 January 2023 or be part of the event as sponsor, exhibitor, gift sponsor or media partner- contact Pinpoint Stewards on info@pinpointstewards.co.za.
