The Wacker Neuson  (0.29 MB)

(Company Annoucements) The Wacker Neuson range of light compaction equipment combines powerful performance with reliable and efficient operation to deliver low operational costs and high productivity for end users. The company is a global leader in the manufacture of light and compact construction equipment. Attention to quality extends to Wacker Neuson’s entire product portfolio which includes the light equipment range of rammers, rollers and vibratory plates.

Wacker Neuson rammers, available in 2-stroke pre-mix, oil injection, 4-stroke and diesel, are built for maximum productivity, performance and durability to be able to handle any material requirement – from granular soils to tough clay conditions – with ease. Built-in cost cutting features include an automatic low oil shut down system which saves on maintenance costs, reduced fuel consumption, emissions and time. Wacker Neuson tailors equipment to meet local conditions to achieve exceptional performance efficiency. Testament to this is the Value Rammer which, according to Wacker Neuson Africa Regional President, Eugene Brown, has proved to be a game changer. “While the machine meets all Wacker Neuson quality standards, we ditched all the bells-and-whistles to achieve an outstanding price-performance-affordability ratio. The unit features one of the best air filtration systems in the industry to easily cope with the fine dust found in most regions in Africa. Introduced to the local market a mere 18 months ago, the Value Rammer has not only gained wide acceptance but continues to unlock new customer segments that were previously closed to us.“

The simple, proven design of Wacker Neuson vibratory plates ensures easy manoeuvrability in extremely narrow spaces. This all-rounder, available in single direction, reversible, and remote control units, is ideal for applications such as trench compaction, industrial and commercial paving for sub-base and grouting compaction without damaging even the most exotic paving bricks. It is the only plate on the market with an integrated wheel set which not only increases robustness but has the added benefit of maximum mobility.

The range of multipurpose Wacker Neuson ride-on and pedestrian vibratory drum rollers and trench rollers combine maximum compaction performance with affordability and low maintenance. The smooth drums with bevelled edges achieve high quality surface finishes on any asphalt, soil or other granular material. This design also allows for tight side clearance on both sides of the roller, making the unit perfect for operating in confined spaces. The unique clutch/pump drive system makes for easy start-up in all weather conditions.
Operator safety and comfort are fundamental to optimum equipment performance, “and thus ultimately to productivity,” notes Brown. “Our products are thus designed and engineered to incorporate numerous operator-friendly features that improve operator safety, reduce fatigue and increase production.”

“Soil and concrete compaction are traditionally our best-selling areas in the sub-Saharan market,” says Brown. “Our success in this vast untapped market is dependent on how we position ourselves here. We believe that the correct approach is to ensure that we are able to bring our compaction equipment and services to our customers irrespective of how remote the location. To this end, we are currently in the process of developing distributor partnerships in the sub-Sahara region,” concludes Brown.
