Name and Location
Vladivostok liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, Russia.

Client
Gazprom.

Project Description
The Vladivostok LNG project is crucial to the development of the eastern part of the Unified Gas Supply System (UGSS) of Russia and boosting Russian gas supplies to the Asia-Pacific markets. The UGSS represents a unique engineering complex encompassing gas production, processing, transmission, storage and distribution facilities in European Russia and Western Siberia.

Under the project, an LNG plant will be built in the Khasansky district of the Primorye Territory.

The plant will have three process trains, each with a capacity of five-million tons a year.

The first two trains will be fed with gas from the Sakhalin gas production centre and the third train from the Yakutia and Irkutsk centres.
The Sakhalin III project, where Gazprom holds four licences for the Kirinsky, Ayashsky, Vostochno-Odoptinsky blocks and the Kirinskoye field, will be one of the main gas supply sources. Sakhalin III resources are estimated at about 1.1-trillion cubic metres.
