Based in Benrose, Johannesburg, Vickers Goldquest’s offices, workshops, stores and a showroom occupy some 4 550 m2 of a 6150 m2 site.
Last year the company recorded a turnover of about R90-million, and it currently boasts an order book of some R2,2-million.
Fixed assets, valued at about R32-million, include CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drills, welding equipment and special purpose testing equipment.
Steel is the primary raw material employed in the manufacture of manifolds, hydraulic power units, cylinders, special purpose machines and presses.
About 100 people are employed by the ISO 9001:2000 accredited facility.
