Schneider Electric  (0.08 MB)

Company Announcement - Vestas France has signed a new deal to retain Schneider Electric as a provider of switchgears (switch and circuit breaker protection) for its wind turbines manufacturing. The signing of this 3-year contract reflects Vestas’ will to support local manufacturing, whilst allowing Vestas to rely on the know-how and skills of Schneider’s teams all over the country. Through a second partnership, Schneider Electric also commits to the maintenance of the switchgears 24/7. Due to the proximity of the company’s service teams to Vestas’ wind farms, the availability of the turbines will be maximized.

"Schneider’s expertise is once again recognised by a major player in wind turbine manufacturing and this makes us feel proud. The service contracts that Schneider Electric offers in many Vestas’ wind farms in France are essential to ensure the highest compliance with the grid requirements”, declared Schneider Vice President Nadège Petit.

"I am confident of the success of this partnership and hope that the expected growth in wind energy will allow us to develop further the high potential of this collaboration”, Vestas France Chief Executive Nicolas Wolff commented.
