Transnet  (0.02 MB)

Company Announcement - VBKom has been awarded a 14 month Programme Risk Management appointment until February 2017 at Transnet SOC's Group Planning Function. This is a near full-time appointment at Transnet’s offices in the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg.

The Risk Management appointment is predominantly focussed on the six strategic, national long term Programmes of Transnet, as serviced by the Group Planning Function, namely:

• Durban Dig-out Port
• Swaziland Rail Link
• Manganese Corridor Expansion
• Iron Ore Corridor Expansion (on hold at the moment)
• Durban-Gauteng Corridor Expansion
• Richards Bay Terminal Expansion

VBKom must ensure that tailored Risk Management Strategies are developed and implemented for the 6 programmes, and must then execute and report on the outcomes of the various risk management interventions.

This appointment is a great opportunity for VBKom to learn, lead and serve one of the country’s larger state owned companies. With this appointment VBKom has once again proved that it is indeed the provider of choice of Specialised Risk Management services to the Capital Intensive Industries.
