The entire control valves range of valves company AZ-Armaturen has undergone a complete redesign, resulting in a modular system that increases productivity in the process, food, chemicals and petrochemicals industries, the company says.

The construction of the control valves is based on the standard cavity-free plug valve with polytetrafluoroethylene-sleeve, or chemical resistant linings, made from fluorinated ethylene propylene or perfluoroalkoxy alkanes.

Further, a range of different materials is available for various applications. Heat jacketed control valves are also available. There are also different types of actuators available that include pneumatic, electric and hydraulic systems.

A protection insert can be added to increase the service life of the control valve in instances of a high-flow velocity, a high-pressure drop or solid-containing mediums.

To control the pressure, flow or temperature as precisely as possible, ten different plug forms are available for every valve size, consisting of five linear and five equal-percentage control characteristics.

In case of large flow rates, a full-bore valve can be recommended, and the plug can be designed and manufactured according to the requirements if a specific flow rate is required.

The AZ-Armaturen South Africa team can assist in choosing the right system to increase control accuracy and productivity of the process and service life of the valve.

German Engineering
Germany-based AZ-Armaturen is a specialised company focusing on the fabrication of high acid-resistant special valves, using high-quality materials.

The company, established in 1965 at Schonach in the Black Forest, Germany, expanded through the years, which made it necessary to move to new company premises, with up-to-date machinery.

Today AZ-Armaturen has 130 employees throughout the world.

The company offers a technical high level of valves industry knowledge, in particular, plug valves, and currently exports to almost all countries, specifically in the chemicals and petrochemicals industries including power stations.
