Tswelokgotso Trading Enterprise
Established in 2008, 100% black-owned construction company Tswelokgotso Trading Enterprise is involved in construction and facilities maintenance work, mostly in civil and road construction.
With its main contract at OR Tambo International Airport, the company is responsible for the maintenance and rehabilitation of runways and taxiways on the airside of the airport. Additionally, the company has a contract for vegetation control and grass cutting at the airport.
The company has also opened a wellness centre called Phela-Live Wellness Centre at the airport, which includes a gym and a spa. The company also owns a wellness centre in Swaziland called Ezulwini.
Located in Boksburg, Gauteng, and with site offices at the airport, Tswelokgotso has strategic alliances with suppliers of certain types of construction equipment, especially road construction equipment.
In terms of the maintenance work being done at the airport, Tswelokgotso owns the tractors and other attachment tools for grass cutting and vegetation control. Moreover, adding to its list of projects, in the past six months, the company has tendered and won a contract for the construction and widening of roads at Mahube Valley Shopping Centre, in Pretoria, valued at about R60-million.
Presently
, in South Africa, the company employs about 120 people and about 30 people at its wellness centre in Swaziland. In view of the construction contract it landed, the company looks set to increase its pool of contract employees.
