Cable management systems manufacturer Legrand South Africa manufactures an adaptable trunking system and provides solutions to trunking requirements in industrial and commercial environments, reports Legrand South Africa national sales manager Timothy Mountjoy.
Legrand’s adaptable distribution linear prefabricated (DLP) trunking system can be applied in all sectors and elec- trical applications, including office, commercial and domes- tic environments, states Mountjoy.
The DLP trunking system is a modern trunking application that facilitates easy cable traffic, circuit separation and identification, for layout extension and modifications, improved safety and speed of installation, reports Mountjoy.
“In modern technology, needs are diverse, time is critical and demands for efficiency, flexibility and safety are substantial. “It is, therefore, important when selecting cable accessories and power and lighting systems that factors like safety, easy installation, versatility and performance are considered as a top priority,” explains Mountjoy.
Features of the flexible DLP trunking system include grey and white flexible and rigid covers, variable internal and external angles, rounded corners suitable for Cat 6 optical-fibre cable distribution, and a range of fully insulated base profiles for various compartment configurations, reports Legrand.
Mountjoy says that the DLP three-dimensional range, which has been designed for floor-to-ceiling installation, ensures freedom for the efficient distribution of cables at ceiling level.
The combination of Mosaic switches and sockets with Legrand’s DLP trunking system is a standout feature of the system, which has been adapted especially for the South African market for safe and efficiently organised cable traffic, reports Legrand.
This easy clip-in trunking assembly allows quick connections for normal and dedicated power, low-voltage applications, telephone systems, computers and dedicated sockets, and an added benefit is that all power and data are distributed in one system.
Cavity floor service outlet boxes are designed for modular equipment and office computer connections, and are compatible with Mosaic switches and sockets.
The steel-base box has two steel partitions, with an earthing point in the compartment. The fixing kit enables easy installation, repair and quick modifications.
Legrand’s pop-out floor boxes ensure efficiency, flexibility, safety and enhanced aesthetics in any cable management system.
