Font size: - +

Transnet Port Terminals and Transnet National Ports Authority have together invested R2-billion to expand the Ngqura Container Terminal’s operating capacity to 1.5-million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) from 800 000 TEUs. The terminal is currently moving about 730 000 TEUs yearly and the investment into berths 3 and 4 is aimed at developing Ngqura into a transshipment hub linking ports in East, West and Southern Africa with their trading partners.
