An ultra-high purity transducer from WIKA Instruments is said to be the first transducer to use the SDP 5003.2080, offering maximum security of investment.

The company says that the WUD-2x-E model is a particularly compact, ultra-high purity transducer for high-accuracy pressure measurement of ultra-pure gases in the semiconductor industry.

The sensor features minimal signal noise and active temperature compensation, ensuring precise measured values in the long term, even with high temperature fluctuations. The measured values can be viewed on the device display.

The addition of an EtherCAT means that the model does not have to be disconnected from the network for firmware updates or troubleshooting. This helps to avoid production downtime resulting from incorrect installation or removal, maximises process safety, and allows updating of the instruments.

In addition to pressure values, temperature data and error status can also be transmitted, allowing instruments to be monitored extensively and problems to be detected at an early stage.
