Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (CCPB) has once again been recognised as one of the top employers in South Africa. The Top Employer’s Institute recently announced its Top Employers 2019 for South Africa list.

The list assessed 99 organisations in the country, specifically focusing on companies that have created exceptional employee conditions and environments. This is the ninth year that CCPB has been recognised and awarded the accolade of Top Employer certification.

“Our employees are our greatest asset and we are committed to creating a pleasant working environment for them,” says Bryn Morse, HR Director at CCPB. “They feel a great sense of pride in working for a regional company that distributes one of the world’s most well-known and loved brands. The camaraderie and spirit amongst our team members is evident because they love what they do and live our company values.”

Companies who qualify as a top employer in South Africa are evaluated in terms of talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and finally, culture.

“Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages continues to provide exceptional employee conditions through nurturing and developing talent throughout all levels of the organisation. We strive to optimise employment practices that continue to contribute to the growth of our employees,” says Morse.

The local bottler and distributor of Coca-Cola products in the Western and Northern Cape employs over 1300 people who work at the Parow Industria Head Office and manufacturing plant, and across the regional offices in Athlone, Worcester, Hermanus, Vredenburg, Paarl, Koelbly and Vredendal.

In the more than 78 years that the company has been in existence, it has never retrenched a single staff member and maintains pride and integrity in all team members through its Purpose – Refresh our Communities; Inspire Moments of Optimism and Happiness; Create Value; and to Make a Difference That Matters through our community and sustainability initiatives.
