The project will be led by Naval Energies and its subsidiary, OpenHydro, in partnership with EDF Energies Nouvelles.

Project Description
The proposed plant will ensure the assembly and maintenance of the tidal turbines for the Normandie hydroproject.

The plant has been designed to be modular and could be extended to increase its production capacity in view of future commercial farms.

The plant will have a floor space of about 5 500 m² on 5 ha; two high-capacity lifting systems of 150 m × 37 m × 20 m, weighing 90 t each; and direct access to the new heavy-duty quays built at the port.

The plant will have the capacity to manufacture 25 turbines a year.

About 40 people will work in the plant on the turbine assembly.
