Company Announcement - The new TBi XCT 400W is a water cooled Premium TIG welding torch with a completely new design. The XCT combines a compact shape and easy maintenance with high performance and duty cycle. It sets the new benchmark within this torch size.
A new collet and high performance cooling system are responsible for the exceptional lifetime of this torch. Its name ‘XCT’, which stands for X-tra Cool Tungsten, reflects these properties.

The new design of this torch reduces the number of consumables while making them more durable at the same time. The conventional collet and collet body have been replaced by a newly developed special collet. Due to its large contact surface, it constantly provides a reliable current transfer and wear resistance. The high clamping force is an additional advantage, preventing loss of clamping force by thermal influences while welding. These innovations enable the welder to use the whole welding system more efficiently, reliably and with less maintenance requirements. The newly developed collet of the TBi XCT 400W, through its geometrical shape, favors a highly efficient and constant gas shielding. The effect is comparable with gas-lens equipment but differs significantly in the fact that the XCT equipment is much more compact and durable. If a better accessibility to the work piece is required, the TBi XCT 400W can be equipped as well with a very long gas nozzle or very short back cap.

The long-term usage of the XCT will show a never known durability to the user, even in high performance applications. The user can rely on the sustainable durability of this welding tool. The TBi XCT 400W is equipped with a new double function switch which will be step by step integrated in all other TBi handheld TIG welding torches. This so called ‘PrecisionSwitch Dual‘ has been developed in close cooperation with customers and end-users and offers an increased ease of use.

The XCT welds up to 450 Ampere DC and 315 Ampere AC at 100% duty cycle. The torch can be equipped with electrodes of 2.4 mm, 3.2 mm and 4.0 mm diameter. The TBi XCT 400W is available at your specialized welding equipment supplier.
