The Infrastructure Specialist Group (IS Group) was awarded a Golden Award in the Business Corporate and Listed Companies Category by the Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ROCCI) and First National Bank (FNB) at a gala function on 7th November 2015.

ROCCI had identified and nominated the IS Group as an organisation that continuously and successfully adds great value to the economy and to the industries within which they operate.

Guinevere Thomas, IS Group Marketing and Communications Manager said “We are extremely proud to have won this prestigious ROCCI Business of the Year 2015 Award. It is the first time that we have won such an award. The fact that it was awarded to us in recognition of our innovative excellence and outstanding achievements makes ISG an organisation that all of our staff can be proud of working for.”

The IS Group comprises Technicrete, Ocon Brick and Rocla, all leaders in the fields of brick and concrete manufactured infrastructure-related products and technologies for the building, construction and mining industries. A commitment to quality is evident by the group’s compliance to the ISO 9001-2001 Quality Management System.

Technicrete and Rocla are both members of the Concrete Manufacturer’s Association whilst Ocon Brick is a member of the Clay Brick Association. The group has representation throughout South Africa as well as Namibia and Botswana.

The annual Business of the Year Awards for 2015 was hosted by ROCCI and First National Bank.
