Based in Durban and established in July this year by Darryl Campbell, who has been involved in the fasteners industry for 24 years, The Fastener Factory is a supplier of fasteners, tools, abrasives, bearings and power transmission and engineering products.

Components for the products are sourced from leading manufacturers and suppliers in South Africa, as well as in Europe and the Far East.

The Fastener Factory is also the exclusive distributor in Southern Africa of German-manufactured Heico-Lock washers, which consist of wedge locking washers, wedge locking nuts and ring lock washers. A key feature of the Heico-Lock wedge system is that the bolt fastening is secured using preload force instead of friction and can be used to prevent loosening owing to vibration and dynamic loads.

The company also distributes branded tools from Bosch, Dewalt, Kraftwerk, King Tony, Microtec and Qualitools. It also supplies DYZV and Timken branded bearing and transmission products, as well as Somta drilling and cutting products.

Klingspor, one of the top five abrasives manufacturers in the world, supplies The Fastener Factory with its extensive range of coated belts, bonded cutting and grinding products, burrs and diamond abrasives.

The Fastener Factory is a Level 4 broad-based black economic empowerment contributor.
