Pinky Moholi will rejoin Telkom from Nedbank as the MD of the telecoms group’s newly created local unit, the fixed-line operator announced on Thursday.

Telkom is restructuring the company into three units – Telkom SA, Telkom International and Telkom Data Centre Operations, and CEO Reuben September said the group would announce appointments for the other two units in due course.

Moholi would join Telkom in April to lead the Telkom SA business unit, the group’s biggest division, consisting of the wholesale and network division, and the consumer and enterprise unit.

Moholi spent 11 years at Telkom, but left the group in 2005 to become chief strategy and corporate affairs officer at Nedbank.

“I am delighted that Pinky has decided to rejoin Telkom, a place she knows well and where she made her mark as a key member of the executive team,” September said.
