The launch of a new telescopic handler and three industrial heavy-duty vacuum trucks will be the highlight of equipment group of companies Goscor Group’s stand at construction and mining trade fair BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA 2015 and IFAT Environmental Technology Forum Africa respectively.

IFAT will run concurrently with BAUMA.

BAUMA will be held at the Johannesburg Expo Centre from September 15 to 18 and Goscor Group will attend with the full complement of its subsidiary companies, Goscor Cleaning Equipment, Goscor KLG, Goscor Access Rental, Goscor Lift Truck Company, Goscor Hi-Reach, Goscor Power Products, Goscor Rental and Bobcat Equipment South Africa.

Bobcat’s range of Tele Rotors will feature its three current models, with the new Bobcat TR50210 model to be launched at BAUMA. The Tele Rotors are diesel-powered wheeled vehicles with rotating telescopic booms that have extendable reach and four-post stabilisation. They also incorporate all-weather cabs that feature air conditioning and a heating and ventilating fan for operator comfort, as well as all-day operability in various weather conditions.

The Bobcat TR50210 complements Bobcat’s range as the flagship model, with a maximum lifting capacity of 5 t. This Tele Rotor can extend its boom arm to a height of 20.5 m using four hydraulically powered stabilisers, and to a height of 20.3 m without using stabilisers.

At the other end of the Bobcat range is the Bobcat TR38160 EVO, with a maximum lifting capacity of 3.8 t and boom extensions of up to 15.7 m when using stabilisers.

All Bobcat Tele Rotors are capable of 360° operation and remote-control operation of the telescopic booms. Person-carrying ‘man platforms’ can also be attached to the end of the booms, with users controlling the operation of the boom from the platform without any special modifications. Fourteen man platform variants are available for Bobcat Tele Rotors.

Enhanced Manoeuvrability
Bobcat’s range of Tele Rotors features enhanced manoeuvrability to ease access to confined spaces.

The Tele Rotors feature three different automatic steering alignment modes to suit varying working environments. Front-wheel steering is suitable for road travel, all-wheel steering allows for better on-site handling and a smaller turning radius for sharp turns in small and narrow spaces, while crab steering allows for the precise positioning of loads in cramped areas.

The Tele Rotors can also be equipped with a vast range of attachments, enhancing their versatility and giving them significant advan- tages, compared with a crane or access platform.

Further, the cabs are certified to comply with roll-over and falling-objects protection systems to ensure operator safety in general.

New Industrial Vacuum Truck
Goscor Group’s cleaning division, Goscor Cleaning Equipment, will also launch a new jetting and vacuum combination truck that recycles water, as well as a trailer-mounted vacuum system.

These jetting and vacuum systems are manufactured by Vaal-based vacuum manufacturer Highpoint Vacuum.

Meanwhile, the industrial vacuum truck HPVR-1000 recycler is a combined vacuum and suction truck with a water recycling system, which can be used for cleaning sewerage and stormwater drains. A first for South Africa, this machine is capable of saving 20-million litres of clean water a year by recycling the water for jetting purposes.

The machine holds 6 000 ℓ of clean water and has a 10 000 ℓ suction tank. Jetting and vacuum capacities are up to 500 ℓ a minute at 200 bar and 3 200 m3 an hour respectively.

The mobile vacuum trailer can easily be towed behind a light delivery vehicle, making it easy to gain access to industrial and mining sites.
