Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery has announced the promotion of Sven Riddle to Event Director of the highly successful trade exhibitions Propak Africa and Propak Cape.

Having thrived in the exhibition industry during the past four years, Sven Riddle is thrilled to be taking up the reins as Event Director of Propak Africa and Propak Cape. Joining Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery in 2013 as a sales executive, Sven was promoted to senior sales executive after only seven months. Excelling in the sales role, he was actively involved in the safety and security industry prior to moving across to the packaging and related industries portfolio, where he was promoted to exhibition manager last year and now his latest promotion to Event Director.

“I’m truly passionate about my work and enjoy the nature of B2B trade exhibition marketing,” says Sven. “Being involved with the packaging, food processing, plastics, printing and labelling industries since my appointment as exhibition manager for Propak Africa and Propak Cape has been a great experience and I’m excited about this new opportunity to lead the team as Event Director.”

“I enjoy working with clients and setting out to understand his or her business objectives. I find that as we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part. I want to provide my clients with maximum ROI and brand exposure at a trade exhibition and in my new role this will underpin all that I do – return on investment for all stakeholders involved.”

Gary Corin, Managing Director of Specialised Exhibitions describes Sven as an asset to the team; a true professional who wants the best for both his customers and for the business. “Sven is highly service-driven and always goes out of his way to assist both his clients and his work colleagues. For Sven, it’s all about win-win. We look forward to seeing further growth in Propak Africa and Propak Cape under his leadership.”

Taking place from 24-26 October this year at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, Propak Cape has proved to be an effective regional platform where exhibitors across packaging and related industries can showcase their latest products and services to thousands of influential decision makers in the Western Cape. Over 6,000 visitors attended in 2014, an increase over all previous editions of this popular trade exhibition.

Feedback from exhibitors has been extremely positive with equipment and machinery being sold from the stands and hundreds of sales leads generated.  Bringing wine and olive oil production and supply into the spotlight this year will be the newly-launched Wine and Olive Oil Production Expo which will be held alongside Propak Cape.

Recognised as Africa’s largest packaging and related industries trade show, Propak Africa will be taking place at the Expo Centre in Johannesburg from 12-15 March 2019. Consistently attracting large numbers of local and international exhibitors, it also draws thousands of high quality visitors, of which over 85% are responsible for purchasing decision-making or strongly influencing purchasing decisions.

Propak Africa, Propak Cape and co-located shows FoodPro, Pro-Plas Expo, Print Expo and Pro-Label Africa bring the highly competitive packaging, plastics, food processing, printing and labelling industries to the forefront. They deliver a great return on investment for exhibitors and provide a world-class event for visitors.

Propak Africa and Propak Cape are organised by Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, a member of the prestigious Montgomery Group, one of the most widely respected exhibition companies in the world with trade shows, consumer shows and specialist projects currently spanning Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
