SustainPower was present en masse at African Utility Week 2018.

Says Tobias Hobbach, SustainPower MD, “This year saw many promising encounters take place at our stand. As a relative newcomer in the gas-to-power industry, we are proving to be a disruptive gas-to-power solution provider in Africa.”

“All in all it was a great show of support,” said Ames Martin, Head of Operations of SustainPower. “We always enjoy these events, and being so well supported by delegates and organisers alike made the event the success that it was.

Said Tobias at the Workshop, “We’ve taken trusted, easy-to-maintain components – such as MAN engines and Motortech control systems – and produced and delivered containerised Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units that give clients over 90% efficiency from the energy contained in a gaseous fuel.”

“Clients get heat (steam / hot water), and power from whatever gas source they have,” said Tobias, “be it natural gas, biogas, landfill gas, or LPG – up to 1MW per unit. Our locally designed and manufactured rugged Africa-proof containerised systems offer modularity, and redundancy.”

VIP event

After the Workshop, VIPs from various countries, sectors of industry and commerce, were invited to visit the stand for drinks and snacks. New contacts were made, and the ongoing support of those who keenly believe in SustainPower’s growth in the gas-to-power industry in Africa was applauded.

“Going forward, we are confident that our clients will continue to be satisfied with the quality of product and level of service we provide,” said Ames Martin, Head of Operations for SustainPower. “We know that gas-to-power is a real solution for Africa’s growing demand for reliable energy, as well as the Middle East. So watch this space – SustainPower is growing from strength to strength.”
