Project Description
SunPine plans to build a new biorefinery adjacent to the company’s existing plant in Haraholmen, in Piteå.

The focus of the investment is to increase tall diesel production capacity by 50% with the second tall diesel production line.

The raw material for the plant is a residual product from pulp and paper manufacturing.

Potential Job Creation
Twenty new jobs are expected to be created, with many more resulting from all the services that will need to be procured.

The project is expected to be completed in 2020.

Latest Developments
SunPine has awarded Pöyry the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services contract for the expansion project. The assignment includes all engineer-ing disciplines, project management services, procurement and construction management services.
