Steloy Casting, which was founded 30 years ago and now has branches in Bronkstspruit and Krugersdorp, both in Gauteng, is one of South Africa’s leading specialist foundry groups, serving customers in a diverse range of industries.

The 400-employee company supplies static and centrifugally cast components in stainless steel, superalloys, carbon steel and iron alloys to customers across the globe. It is one of very few foundries in the world capable of casting process tubes in high-alloy steel.

The cast components that Steloy Casting manufactures are supplied to customers in the pumps and valves, petrochemicals, chemicals, steel, power generation, ferroalloys, rolling stock, glass, aluminium and pulp and paper industries.

Besides the OSHAS 18001 safety management standard, Steloy Casting fully complies with the ISO 14001:2004 environmental management standard, the ISO 9001:2008 quality management standard and the OHSAS 18001:2007 occupational health and safety management standard. The company also fully complies with Pressure Equipment Directive EC 97/23 and has acquired International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS) certification.

Steloy has been selected by several original-equipment manufacturers to supply components for projects for new locomotives and metro trains in South Africa.
