JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Aim-listed gold resource company Sovereign Mines of Africa has appointed Rupert Street CEO, with immediate effect.

Street has over 26 years of financial and industry experience.

“In Rupert we have secured a highly entrepreneurial individual and I’m delighted to welcome him to the company. He brings with him significant international experience of growing and scaling businesses across the globe and has a record of aggressively driving growth and shareholder returns, which fits well with the company’s culture,” commented chairperson Giles Clarke.

Sovereign owns three highly prospective gold projects in Guinea.
