Part of the Advanced Group of Companies, FlameBlock is a proudly South African company that engineers, manufactures and supplies intumescent and fire-retardant products, available to a wide range of clients globally. The range of products includes:

• FlameBlock Wool: A high-density mineral wool board made from a non-combustible material for easy compression into difficult openings. Mineral wool is inorganic and said to be ideal for thermal insulation, fire protection, acoustic control, and environmental management purposes.
• FlameBlock Paint: A high-quality polyvinyl acetate, or PVA, acrylic paint for interior and exterior use. Available in various colours.
• FlameBlock Shield: A fire-retardant mastic with insulating properties designed to stop fire propagation along electrical cables and service openings. It forms a barrier to prevent the spread of flames and toxic gases through service openings. It is used with FlameBlock Wool to create passive fire protection of cable and/or service voids. It is applied to FlameBlock Wool, 500 mm on either side of the barrier where any polyvinyl chloride, or armoured cables penetrate the seal. It can be applied by hand, with a brush or a trowel.
• FlameBlock Panel: A fire-retardant panel with insulating properties designed to stop fire propagation at all service openings. Used with FlameBlock Coat, it is said to  create permanent fire stopping in medium to large wall and floor openings. It can be specially moulded to meet specific requirements, is fully functional immediately after installation, is designed to be smoke-tight and easy to cut and drill.
• FlameBlock Topcoat: A high-quality acrylic waterproofing used in conjunction with FlameBlock Shield. It has been specially formulated to seal and protect exterior surfaces and claims to have excellent water elongation properties, making it specifically suited to surfaces where a water-tight system is required.
