The solar debate is hot, but its information is a mashup of facts and hearsay. Homeowners share concerns about South Africa's regular week-long rainy, no-sun weather stints, while businesses are concerned about the installation and maintenance costs associated with going off-the-grid in favour of solar solutions.

However, Valsa Trading CEO Svilen Voychev says, "South Africa's climate is ideal for solar energy thanks to its equatorial position. Most regions in South Africa get up to 2500 hours of sunshine every year." South Africa is behind compared to many first-world countries, where photovoltaic (PV) solar adoption is very mature. However, South Africa ranks very high when comparing the solar potential in irradiation levels.

“Therefore, Valsa Trading designs, manufactures, and supplies PV solar mounting system solutions. From mounting components, solar panels, inverters, Li-ion batteries, AC and DC combiner boxes, cables, housing, and power tools to other accessories for all energy applications," explains Voychev. "We also have a comprehensive range of PV solar products, which services PV solar installers, resellers, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies, and end users."

PV solar solutions are perfect for South Africa's climate and abundance of sun. "Suppose you're looking for guaranteed quality PV solar energy products that are durable, flexible to all types of installations, and third-party tested for added assurance. In that case, Valsa products and services are the answer to your environmentally friendly, sustainable, and reliable energy needs," he adds.

Voychev continues to make a case for solar solutions and curbs the fear of businesses, "With an expansive supplier and partner footprint, Valsa Trading can service your PV solar energy needs anywhere in South Africa and Africa. However, the proper knowledge and skills are essential for a successful installation. So, we're also investing in training sessions to enable knowledge sharing to help mitigate the risks associated with solar PV installations."

Valsa Trading will host an exhibition at the very popular Solar Show Africa, a yearly renewable energy solutions conference, where all the players in the energy space converge to discuss the problems, solutions, infrastructure, and technologies to enable sustainable growth and usage of renewable energy solutions. "We will join the two-day event at the Sandton Convention Centre, at stand B25, on the 23rd and 24th of August 2022. During our exhibition, you'll be able to interact with us and our products to gain an in-depth knowledge of the benefits of our PV solar solutions and other products."
