The project comprises the construction of a 2 640 MW oil-fired steam power project on a turnkey basis, including engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning. The project will be located on the Red Sea coast, about 580 km south of Jeddah and 135 km north of Jazan.

The project will be completed by 2017.
