The local market can look forward to Schneider Electric’s new Telemecanique Sensors product in the OsiSense range for sensing and detecting solutions, introduced at its Xperience Efficiency event held in Johannesburg, 26-27 August 2014.The energy management specialist says that OsiSense ZMLP is a switch with display; associated with a pressure transmitter, it offers easy access to current pressure information, even when the pressure transmitter itself is placed in a hard-to-reach location.
Installation the OsiSense ZMLP switch with display takes minimum time and effort. It can be mounted away from the pressure transmitter, using a quick-fix bracket to attach to a horizontal or vertical plane, or a pipe. The device can also be placed directly on the pressure transmitter via the M12 connector. The body is rotating for easy adjustment of the viewing angle.
To complete the configuration, only three parameters need to be defined: display range, set point, and reset point, adjustable by two simple screws with a universal head that is compatible with standard screwdrivers.
At each device start up, all segments of the display briefly light up to confirm that it is operating correctly. The OsiSense ZMLP switch with display can be replaced independently of the pressure transmitter while the system is ongoing. Its key features include:
• Power supply: 24 VDC;
• Display value: from -14.5…0 to 0…6000 with 27 selectable ranges;
• Digital output: PNP or NPN, NO/NC programmable;
• Analogue output: 4 to 20 mA;
• Electrical connection input: M12 female, 4 pin output: M12 male, 4 pin;
• Degree of protection: IP65, IP67, and IP69K;
• Temperature range: -20 to +70°C; and
• Certifications: cULus based on UL 508.
