SBS Water Systems, which manufactures SBS Tanks, was established in 1998 and this year celebrates 20 years in existence and continues to grow from strength to strength.
With over 18 years’ practical experience in the water storage industry, the SBS range of tanks has been engineered, designed and developed to be the preferred liquid storage solution provider for multiple applications.
Recently, SBS Tanks has partnered with filtration and water treatment equipment supplier Quality Filter Systems (QFS) and global desalination and water recycling company Osmoflo to provide high-quality water storage for an emergency desalination plant at the V&A Waterfront, in Cape Town.
The project is centred around a fully containerised “seawater reverse osmosis and multimedia filtration plant”. This two minimum liquid discharge plant is made up of seven containers, will be able to deliver two-million litres of water a day to the city’s municipal supply.
The seven containers are being rented out to QFS for a minimum of 24 months. They have been installed within a tight eight-week schedule and, as SBS Tanks MD Delayne Gray adds, the company is committed to getting the tanks up in the best possible lead time.
Three different tanks have been installed for the various stages of the reverse osmosis and filtration process. Together, they provide a total of 436 000 ℓ of water storage.
Over the last 20 years, SBS Tanks has implemented thousands of tank installations globally. It is projects such as the Cape Town emergency desalination plant, where access to water is paramount, that are the most rewarding for the company and its committed staff.
SBS Water Systems is certified by the SABS as ISO 9001:2008 compliant, as well as being OHSAS 18001 compliant, ensuring the highest standards of operation.
SBS Tanks is the perfect option for high-quality water storage and is backed by 20 years of service excellence, customer commitment and on-time delivery.
