Project Description
The project involves the construction of an offshore wind farm, more than 100 km off the German North Sea coast, north-west of DanTysk, Vattenfall and Stadtwerke München’s first joint wind farm.

The Sandbank wind project will comprise seventy-two 4 MW wind turbines totalling 288 MW and is expected to generate 1.4 TWh/y of renewable electricity.

This is equivalent to the electricity consumption of about 400 000 house-holds.

€1.2-billion.

Duration
Construction on the wind farm is scheduled for 2015.
