Former Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) boss Lucky Montana on Thursday laid fraud charges against two executives and a board member of the state-owned company, as well as two directors of a private security company.

The charges were laid at the Hillbrow police station.

Montana claims the security company, which has ties to PRASA, allegedly defrauded the state-owned entity of R100-million, according to his spokesperson.

“I know of this corruption, I have the evidence and the honorable thing to do was to report this to the police,” Montana was quoted as saying outside the Hillbrow police station.

The latest development follows Montana’s dismissal two weeks ago amid reports of clashes between him and board members.

He was due to leave the state-owned company in December.
