The Southern African Asset Management Association is finalising preparations for SA's biggest physical asset management conference, to be held from 16 to 18 May 2016 at the CTICC in Cape Town. The annual event is part of SAAMA's continuous strive to further develop physical asset management in Southern Africa. The conference is gaining popularity each year and provides a vital opportunity for delegates to meet, exchange information and ideas as well as discuss the issues affecting the asset management industry.
This year's programme features a number of inspiring keynote speakers and will provide delegates with access to thought-provoking and challenging debates. Keynote speakers will highlight some of the industry's toughest issues and challenges:
- Mobile Technology: Adriaan Scheeres, CEO and co-founder of Pragma, will talk about opportunities and challenges associated with mobile technology in enterprise asset management.
- Innovation: Bonang Mohale, Chairman of Shell South Africa Marketing, will share his valuable insights into asset management innovations currently being developed in South Africa.
- Energy Optimisation: With the energy industry facing countless new challenges, a full day stream for discussions on how to address these pressing issues, has been allocated. The Mining and Industrial Energy Optimisation Association (MIEO) will facilitate these interactive discussions.
More than 40 plenary sessions, case studies and workshops facilitated by local and international asset management experts will complete this year's jam-packed conference programme. Several industry-transforming developments will be further explored at the conference. These include exciting developments around infrastructure assets, ISO 55000 as well as the role of the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM).
Professional certification is also available at this year’s conference. Apart from the three continuous development points (CPD) delegates will receive for attending the full conference, they also have the opportunity to write the CMRP, SCPP (ISO 55000) or CAMA exams during the conference.
All delegates are invited to visit the exhibition area during breaks and networking sessions. This year, a limited number of exhibition space was made available to providers of relevant, innovation and cutting-edge products and solutions that are contributing towards the growth of the asset management industry.
This quality event is made possible by the generous support of our sponsors. Pragma is the conference's Diamond Sponsor. Meridium is the Platinum Sponsor, Aurecon the Gold Sponsor, and Silver Sponsors are Royal HaskoningDHV and I@ Consulting.
