President Jacob Zuma and Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte have identified agriculture, ports and water and sanitation as some of the key areas to enhance cooperation between their two countries.

President Zuma held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Rutte on the margins of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, on Thursday.

The Presidency said the two countries continue to enjoy bilateral relations and the meeting served to further enhance cooperation in social, economic, cultural and political arenas.

“President Zuma invited the Prime Minister to South Africa for an official visit and Prime Minister Rutte accepted the invitation,” said the Presidency.

President Zuma is on a working visit to Davos to attend the WEF annual meeting.

Over 40 heads of State and Government as well as 2 500 leaders from business and society are at the 45th WEF annual meeting, which commenced on Wednesday and ends on Saturday.
