A new artificial intelligence (AI) robot, or bot, designed to offer information technology (IT) support is said to be the first of its kind in the country. Dial a Nerd asserts that its digital companion, called ‘Dan’, is set to revolutionise IT support for clients.

The company explains that it has reintroduced its ‘Nerdman’ logo with a focus on user preferences and design aesthetics, to offer an innovative, customer-centric service.

"By bringing back our beloved Nerdman logo in the form of 'Dan,' we aim to combine nostalgia with cutting-edge technology, creating a familiar and friendly face for users seeking assistance with their IT needs," says Dial a Nerd digital experience manager Melissa Viljoen.

"Through 'Dan’, we are not only providing technical support but also fostering a sense of connection and trust with our clients," said Dial a Nerd managing executive Petrie van Zyl.

The company says its AI bot will offer tailored IT support to meet clients’ individual needs, offering convenience, efficiency and personalised assistance.
