The proposed project will involve the rehabilitation and expansion of the Salala Rubber Corporation's rubber plantation, following years of neglect during several years of civil war in Liberia.

The operation will be optimised through the planting of new rubber trees on the existing concession; renovating plant equipment; and rebuilding administrative and social infrastructure, including worker housing.
