Name of the Project
Ross River Solar Farm project.

Location
The project is located on a disused mango plantation in Queensland, Australia.

The site was selected because of the high solar irradiance in the region, and its average 320 days of sunshine a year.

Client
Palisade Investment Partners and Esco Pacific.

Project Description
The project entails the construction of a 142 MW utility-scale solar farm.

The solar farm will comprise about 450 000 crystalline solar photovoltaic modules installed on ground-mounted frames that will slowly track the daily horizontal movement of the sun.

The wind farm will provide enough emission-free, renewable energy to power about 52 000 homes a year.

The project is underpinned by a 13-year power purchase agreement (PPA), which is understood to be the largest single solar PPA in Australia.
