Weeks after the devastation from Hurricane Harvey and Irma, leaders at Rockwell Automation are confidently moving forward with plans to host the annual Automation Fair event in Houston. “Our hearts go out to the greater Houston community and all who have been affected by the recent hurricanes,” said Blake Moret, president and CEO, Rockwell Automation.

“We have made a commitment to the city of Houston, and want our event to be one of the ways we help the community and the region recover.”

Impressed by the recovery already occurring and working closely with Visit Houston, the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the George R. Brown Convention Center, Rockwell Automation has plans in place to ensure the success of this year’s event, which attracts thousands of attendees each year.

Registration is now open for the 2017 Automation Fair event, hosted by Rockwell Automation and members of its global PartnerNetwork programme.

The event offers manufacturers and producers from around the world the opportunity to see the latest products, services and solutions to help enable a Connected Enterprise.

“The focus for this year’s event will be helping companies learn how to achieve measurable business results by integrating control and information across operations to enable better collaboration, faster problem-solving, and increased productivity,” stated Moret. “As a company, we are passionate about helping industrial companies and their people be more productive.”

Automation Fair Event
More than 140 exhibits showcasing the latest product innovations for industrial manufacturing and production from Rockwell Automation and its PartnerNetwork members will be on display on the 15th and 16th of November. Across the show floor, attendees can see a wealth of product demonstrations and interact with industry experts. In addition, attendees can register for 19 hands-on, technology-focused labs and participate in over 90 technical sessions.

They can also learn best practices from customers and industry leaders in nine forums including chemical; engineering, procurement and construction; food and beverage; machine and equipment builders; oil and gas; power and energy management; pulp and paper; water wastewater; and diversity and inclusion in manufacturing.

Process Solutions User Group (PSUG)
In addition, on the 13th and 14th of November, PSUG will bring together hundreds of operations, IT and engineering professionals from a variety of different industries to share best practices and learn about new process automation technologies aimed at improving operational performance.

The event will feature approximately 25 technical sessions, 10 hands-on labs, and more than 25 presentations by Rockwell Automation customers. The event will also include a series of open-forum panel discussions.

Automation Perspectives Global Media Event
On the 14th of November, the annual Automation Perspectives global media forum will welcome media representatives and industry analysts to learn about global manufacturing and production challenges, and the automation trends and technologies helping to drive performance and improve industrial productivity.

Executive leadership and industry experts will share their strategies for managing the opportunities and challenges of digitisation, and the partnerships and programmes aimed at developing a highly skilled workforce to meet the needs of advanced manufacturing.

Registration for the 2017 Automation Fair event, PSUG and the Automation Perspectives global media forum is now open.
